Spring Break Haul!

Hi everyone.
Remember me? You probably don't because I haven't posted since FEBRUARY. I really don't have any excuses for that... except maybe laziness. Does that count as an excuse?
Anyway, I'm back!! And today I'm going to show you the clothes I bought on Spring Break, which yes, was a month ago. I went to South Carolina for any that were wondering. And also, I did take these photos as soon as I got back, but hadn't gotten around to posting them. Regardless, enjoy!
So is it okay to say that these are my favorite shorts EVER? I saw them at PacSun and fell in love. Sunflowers are my favorite flower, so I HAD to get them.

Shorts- PacSun
Crop top- PacSun

I love this outfit because it's actually school appropriate (haha) and I've recently been obsessed with J. Crew so I'm currently into the whole preppy style.

Shirt- J. Crew
Shorts- J. Crew

Another preppy inspired look. I adore this statement necklace and I really like how all the pieces went together.

Necklace- J. Crew
Shirt- Gap
Shorts- TJ Maxx

I've wanted a shift dress for a while, so I was really excited to find this at J. Crew! I also decided to pair it with my Michael Kors bag just to give the outfit a little more color.

These pants instantly caught my eye. They're super bright and fun and remind me of summer. I don't really own anything else like them, so they're a good piece to own.

Pants- J. Crew

I hope you all enjoyed my Spring Break Haul! This wasn't everything I got in South Carolina, but these were some of my favorite pieces. Again, I'm sorry for the lack of posts in the last few months, I will try to post more frequently. I hope you all have a lovely weekend! Bye! xx

Things that make me happy! ♡

So today is the last day of February and I can't express how excited I am that tomorrow's the first day of March. For the entire month of February, I have been in a winter slump and have been feeling kind of down. I expect March will be a happier month and hopefully bring signs of spring! Since I'm so excited about the arrival of March, I decided I would make a post on things that make me happy. I've been seeing this tag go around on YouTube, so I figured why not bring it to the blogging community? I think it's great because it spreads positive energy and you may discover things that you and other people both share a mutual love of. So here are 10 things that make me happy!

1) Acting-
So if you know me personally, you know I have a huge love of theatre. At a very early age I discovered the theater was my home and that acting was my calling. I not only love acting in shows, but I also love seeing them. Both acting and seeing shows brings me so much joy and I love being surrounded by other people that love theatre.
Acting a show I did 2 summers ago
2) Traveling-
There's something about traveling that makes me so happy. Maybe it's the excitement of going somewhere you've never been before, trying new things of just leaving home for a little while. I love traveling and find it so refreshing. Sometimes you just need a break from home.
New York City aka my favorite place on Earth
3) Laying in Bed Watching Netflix-
This one pretty much shows my lazy side, but maybe some of you understand. There is almost no feeling greater than crawling into bed after a long day, turning on your little fairy lights and relaxing while watching Netflix. Simply doing this brings me so much joy. It's one of my favorite ways of relaxing and it makes me really happy.

4) Re-watching My Favorite Movies-
There are two types of people in this world: the ones that continually watch new movies one time through and the ones who watch the same five movies over and over again. I am the second type. I have watched my favorite movies so many times that I know every line. Watching my favorite movies always makes me feel happy, no matter what kind of day I'm having.

5) Writing-
Aside from writing my blog (which I absolutely love doing), I also love writing stories. Writing brings me so much joy and it allows me to escape from real life for a little bit. It also helps relieve stress and overall it makes me feel happier inside. In particular I love writing science fiction, but really writing anything makes me happy.

6) Wearing Outfits I Love-
Only true fashion-obsessed people like me will fully understand. As Blair Waldorf once said, "Fashion is the most powerful art there is. It's movement, design and architecture all in one. It shows the world who we are and who we'd like to be." Wearing outfits I spend time putting together brings me so much happiness. I truly believe that fashion represents who you are as a person and the outfit you wear can affect your mood so much. Fashion has and will always bring me endless joy and happiness.

7) Shopping-
This one probably sounds really superficial, but I promise it's not. Shopping is another way I relieve stress and going to new stores and seeing all the new items brings me a lot of happiness. Shopping also allows me an easy way to bond with my friends and family, therefore makes me really happy.
Because OBVIOUSLY I always shop at the Disney store... or I haven't taken any other photos of stores...
8) Christmas-
The decorations. The lights. The fresh snow. What's NOT to love about Christmas? It is hands down my favorite time of the year. Every one gets noticeably happier around this time of year and it rubs off on me too. Christmas is magical and it makes me so happy, so I don't see any reason to not start decorating in November. ;)

9) Spending Time with my Best Friends and Family-
I guess this one is kind of a given, but I had to mention it. I love spending time with my friends and family because I know I can always count on them and there's nothing better than that sense of security. I'm so grateful for the amazing people I have in my life and they make me very happy.
My best friends
10) Trying Things out of My Comfort Zone-
I'm really proud of myself because I often do things out of my comfort zone. Of course they scare me, but I've found that I have a lot of fun trying new things. It's always the things I'm most scared of trying that end up to be the most fun. I'm going to continue trying new things because it brings me a lot of happiness and I would recommend to anyone to try something new because it's the only way you'll ever grow as a person and who knows... it might bring you a lot of happiness. :)

OOTW: February 2014!

Hi everyone!
I know it's been a while since my last blog post. I hate taking such long breaks, but it has been so cold where I live so it's been almost impossible to take photos outside, which is my favorite place for them. This week I challenged myself to wear outfits a little out of my comfort zone, so I figured it would be perfect to do an Outfits of the Week post! We only had 4 days of school this week, so that's why there's only 4 outfits. Enjoy!

Monday-
This day I challenged myself to finally break out this fur vest, which I haven't worn in years. I paired it with a flannel and studded combat boots (which aren't pictured, sorry) I really love this outfit even though it's something I don't usually wear.

Vest- Forever 21
Flannel- Forever 21
Leggings- Target
Boots- Steve Madden

 Tuesday-
I like Tuesday's outfit because it's very quirky, but also very true to me. I decided to wear this cat skirt and pair it with a graphic tee and sweater.

Skirt- H&M
Tank- Brandy Melville
Sweater- Gap
Shoes- Converse

Wednesday-
Wednesday's outfit was a little edgy and a little sporty which is far from my usual style. I also really liked it because of the pink accents and I'm a sucker for high-tops.

Flannel- Target
Tank- H&M
Jeans- Old Navy
High-tops- Converse

 Thursday-
Thursday's was definitely my favorite outfit of the week! I absolutely love this look and I like how preppy it is. I wore a sweater and collared shirt under a bubble vest and paired with a bubble necklace.

Sweater- H&M
Shirt- TJ Maxx
Bubble Vest- Aero
Bubble Necklace- J. Crew
Jeans- Old Navy
Boots- Steve Madden

So those were the outfits I wore this week! I hope you enjoyed this post because I battled the cold and went outside to have these taken! Also, I changed up my background. Do you like? Maybe? Yes? No? Let me know in the comments below! I hope all of you had a happy Valentine's day! I'll see you all in my next post! Bye!

How I Organize My Room!

Hi everyone!
I'm so happy to be back on my blog.
This week it's finals week and I have been going crazy. Seriously. Luckily tomorrow is the last day of finals (thank goodness) but I decided to take my mind off of it for a second and type up a little blog post for you all. Today I'm going to show you how I organize my room and hopefully this will give you some organization inspiration. Enjoy! xx

Tip #1: Get a Shoe Rack-
Meet my new friend, the shoe rack. I just got this and I put it in my closet. It works amazingly for me because I have tiny closet, and this doesn't take up too much space. It can hold 12 pairs of shoes and 4 underneath it, so I love it and it's great for organizing.

Tip #2: Store your bags in... your bags?
If you're like me and own an endless number of bags and purses, I recommend storing them in some of your larger bags! Just store them in each other. Here you can see I use some of my large bags and stuff them with my smaller bags. It works great for organizing and saves a lot of space.

Tip #3: Use the space under your bed-
When organizing, I feel like a lot of people forget about the space under your bed. But don't forget about it though, because it can hold so much stuff! Here you can see I have these 2 big tubs and I use them to store scarves in the first one and (yes, MORE) shoes in the second one. (I have a ton of shoes, okay?) I got these bins from Target for about $10 each and they're also really great because they have wheels that help them roll out easily.

Tip #4: Bins, bins & more bins-
I love using bins in my room because you can fill them with all the clutter you want, and nobody can tell. They also come in a ton of different colors, so they had an extra pop to your room. I got these from Target for about $4 each.

So those were some of my organization tips for how I organize my room! I hope you enjoyed this post and maybe even got some inspiration for your own room! Have a great week everyone! Bye!

December Favorites!

Hello again!
I know I just did my 2013 favorites and normally I wouldn't have done another favorites so soon after, but this month I love the new things I discovered SO much, I had to share them with you all.
So let's begin!
I have been obsessed with this mascara this month. This is the "Lights, Camera, Lashes" mascara from Tarte. I bought it at Sephora on Black Friday because I had heard such great things about it and now I know exactly what people are talking about. This mascara gives your lashes so much length and volume that if you layer it enough, they look fake. It never clumps and it does a great job of separating lashes which is something I'm really picky about with mascaras.

The Brush

This has definitely been my favorite nail polish of the month. This is "Ballet Slippers" from Essie. You guys know I love Essie and this one has made me love the brand even more. I love how light and girly this color is and even though it's pink, it makes your nails look very natural and well-kept.

My favorite fashion item of the month were these combat boots from Steve Madden. I believe these are the "Guliee" boots. I got these for Christmas and I have worn them every single day since. They go with so many outfits and they're the perfect winter accessory.

This TV show has been my LIFE this month. I just started watching Gossip Girl and I cannot believe I've never seen it before! I've been watching it on Netflix and I love it so much. In case you've never seen it before, the show follows the lives of wealthy high schoolers living in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. I find this show to be very appealing to me because I love "girly" shows you could say, and this is quickly becoming one of my all-time favorites.

GUYS, IT HAPPENED. My favorite memory of the month without a doubt was when I met Tyler Oakley. For those of you who don't know who he is (have you been living under a rock?!) he's a Youtuber with over 3 million subscibers. He was awarded "Vlogger of the Year" in 2012 and he was nominated by MTV as "Favorite Vlogger of 2013." I am OBSESSED with Tyler and I have been for over a year now, so can you imagine my excitement when I see him at the Pacsun in my town?! Needless to say, I went crazy with excitement and he is such a sweet guy.

So those were my December Favorites! I hope you all enjoyed this post. Unfortunately I'm not sure how long it will be until my next post goes up because I go back to school in 2 days! And with finals coming up very soon, I'm not sure when I'll have time to squeeze in a blog post, but I'll try. Have a great weekend everyone and I'll talk to you guys later!

Top 13 Beauty Products of 2013!

Hi everyone!
Happy 2014!
I'm so excited to see what the New Year has in store. As for today's post, I'm going to share my favorite beauty products of 2013. There are 13 different products and many different categories and brands. I'm super excited, so let's begin!

Favorite Nail polish-
Being the nail polish junkie that I am, I can't pick just one polish, so I decided to broaden it to my favorite brand which is Essie. I tried Essie polishes for the first time this year and I fell in love with their great formulas and beautiful colors.

Favorite Foundation & Concealer-
In 2013 I discovered the Wake Me Up line from Rimmel. I tried both their foundation  and concealer and I love them both. These were definitely my favorite foundation and concealers of 2013, as they have a great consistency and they never break me out. I'm not using the foundation at the moment because I've gotten considerably paler since summer, but the concealer still matches my skin fine.

Favorite Powder-
You can tell just by looking at this product that it's gotten a lot of love in 2013. I know you  guys have heard me talk about this a billion times, but it's still my favorite powder. It lasts all day and keeps my skin shine-free. The best part is this powder lasts for so long, I purchased this in December of 2012, have used it almost every day since, and there's still plenty of product left. Amazing.

Favorite Mascara & Eyeliner-
I know you guys have also heard me talk about both these products before. My favorite mascara of 2013 was the classic Maybelline Great Lash. I like how it has a tiny wand, so it's also great for using on your lower lashes. My favorite eyeliner of 2013 was by far the Elf Liquid Liner. I tried this product out on a whim (it's only $1) and I fell in love with it! I use it every day and liquid liner is my one go-to product if I had to pick just one. Unfortunately, when I went to the store the other day, I didn't see this product anymore so I'm not sure if Elf is still selling it. In that case, leave me your liquid liner recommendations in the comments below!

Favorite Eye Shadow-
The Color Tattoos from Maybelline get talked about very often and there's a reason for it. They're incredible. My very favorite shade is "Bad to the Bronze" and I wore it so much in 2013. I can honestly tell you this is the best eye shadow I've ever tried. The color's beautiful, greatly pigmented and it doesn't even need a primer underneath. I got compliments on this eye shadow every time I wore it.

Favorite Blush-
Honestly, I have no idea when I got this blush. I randomly found it in my makeup collection one day and I'm SO happy I did because I love it! The color is super natural and pretty and it compliments my skin-tone perfectly. This blush is from Ulta and the shade is "Flush." I use this product almost every day and it gives a nice, rosy glow to my complexion.

Favorite Lip Products-
In 2013 I finally became a little more adventurous with lip products. First off, I love the Revlon Lipbutters. All their colors are gorgeous and the formula is super creamy. My favorite colors were "Sweet Tart," which is a vibrant hot pink and "Strawberry Shortcake," which is more natural. As far as moisturzing my lips, I'm all for Nivea products. I especially love the Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose Kiss. I know I told you all a while ago that I wasn't really a fan of it, but it's grown on me. I apply this every night before bed and it works wonders.

Favorite Self Tanner-
In 2013, I tried my first self tanner. I absolutely adore the Jergens Natural Glow self tanner. During summer I used it every other day and I could soon see great results. It's a gradual self tanner, so you don't turn out looking like an Oompa- Loompa. I also really like the face self tanner from Jergens. It smells nice and it doesn't break me out.

Favorite Hair Product-
I'm not sure if this exactly counts as a hair "product," but in 2013 I discovered the Wet Brush. Previously, my hair had been so difficult to brush through, especially when it was wet. After I started using this, my hair was always easy to brush through, even after the shower. This brush is very gentle and doesn't pull out much of your hair. It's not painful and this has definitely become my all time favorite brush.

Favorite Curling Iron-
Honestly, I didn't buy this curling iron in 2013, but I wanted to share this with you all because I'm not sure if I've talked about much before. This curling iron is from Remington and I found it at Target for $15! I've used it so much this year, including for school dances, plays and performances, and just on occasional school days. This iron is amazing. It's super easy to use and I don't burn my self with it very often at all. It creates gorgeous curls and all my friends like to borrow it from me.

So those were my favorite beauty products of 2013! I hope you all enjoyed this post. Would you like to see my favorite fashion items of 2013? If so, tell me in the comments below or tweet me. I hope the New Year turns out great for each and every one of you and hopefully it will be full of happiness, fun and love. I'll talk to you guys next time. Bye!
