Anways, the first post in the "Back A+ School" series are going to be the best back packs for any style. I picked out my favorite bags that are all very different... and here they are!

If you're into classic backpacks, then I recommend this one. I've used it in all my years of schooling and it never fails me. It has 5 pockets and is very spacious. It also comes in many colors, so you're sure to find one that you like.
(Jansport Big Student Backpack, $45, jansport.com)

Tribal-
If you're into tribal patterns, try this backpack from Urabn Outfitters. It is super adorable and a cute take on a classic backpack. Not to mention, it's only $15! A total steal!
(Ecote Sun-faded Geometric Backpack, $15, urbanoutfitter.com)

Girly-
If you're style's girly, then you'll LOVE this one from Victoria's Secret. (I know I do!) It's a gorgeous light blue color with delicate pink rose fabric. It has one large pocket and three smaller backpacks, perfect for back to school!

My Recent Loves...

Hello again.
Today's post is going to show some of the things I've been loving recently and why I reccommend them to you. Enjoy!

Essie's Bikini So Teeny
Essie is one of my favorite nail polish brands because their colors are so beautiful and unique and it lasts on your nails for a long while. Essie's Bikin So Teeny is no exception to this. I love this color. It's a light, periwinkle blue color. It's a gorgeous pastel and is so summery looking. I've had this on my nails for 4 days now and there are no chips whatsoever.
(Essie's Bikini So Teeny, $7.99, Target)

Elf Waterproof Eyeliner Pen
I love this because the color is rich and dark and the formula glides on easily. The liner is a felt tip so it's simple to use. It's also waterproof so it lasts all day and makes it even better for summer. I've been wearing this everyday for the past week now and it works great. The best part? It's on $2!
(Elf Waterproof Eyeliner Pen, $2, Target)

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer
I've been using the Wake Me Up Foundation for a while, so I decided to try the concealer and I really like it. The color blends easily and it lasts all day. It has a dow-foot applictator so it's easy to apply. I must admit, this isn't the best concealer I've ever tried, but it still is a great and affordable option.
(Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer $4.99, Walmart)

American Apparel Bow Hair Clip
I must admit I've had this for a while and haven't started wearing it much until recently. I pull the front of my hair back over the top of my head and pin it with the bow in the back to complete a "half up, half down" look. It's super simple and I love the touch of girliness the bow adds.
(American Apparel Hair Clip, $10, American Apparel)

I hope you enjoyed this post and tell me what you've been loving recently in the comments below. Have a great day lovelies! xx

3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

3 years ago today, I had a sudden urge to share my love of fashion with the world. I decided to do this through a blog. I named it " FashionSavvy101." On that blog I wrote about fashion trends, favorites of mine and my love of fashion. Later changing the name to "CCFashionista" I continued to put my efforts in writing posts for you all.

Now 3 years later, I still have my same love of fashion. I'd like to thank all of you for sticking with me over these years. I look forward to writing more posts for you and many more years to come. When any of you read my post, or write a comment it makes my day. Again, thanks for 3 amazing years.

My View of Fashion

fash·ion

[fash-uhn] Show IPA
noun
1. a prevailing custom or style of dress, etiquette, socializing, etc.: the latest fashion in dresses.

As many other girls do, I love makeup and beauty. And I always will. But ever since I was a little girl, fashion has always been my true passion. I remember I would dance around the house, wearing princess costumes, decked out in a tiara and loads of jewlery. Since then, I've always been particular on what I wear. To me it's not just clothing, it's a way of life.

Now I'm sure that sounds pretty cliche, but that's truly how I feel. Fashion is a form of expression. With fashion, I can express how feel through my clothing. I can take risks and be out of the ordianary, all while displaying it in the form of clothing.

Fashion has no limits. That's what I like most about it. Everyone's style is different and unique to themselves. You can try whatever you want, and no one has any right to judge you. Some days I'll think out of the box and put together an outfit entirely different than what I've ever worn before. Sure, some people will still look at me weirdly, but those days when I put together a new, one-of-a-kind outfit, are the days I feel my best.

I dedicated this blog to fashion. I'm no expert on it, not even in the slightest bit, but I take time out of every week to share with you about my love, my fancy, my passion: Fashion. And now nearing in on the 3rd anniversary of my blog; 75 posts and 1,000 views later, I still love fashion as much as I did as a little girl and I know my fondness of it will only continue to blossom for the rest of my life.

Favorite Dresses for Summer!

One of my favorite things about summer is wearing dresses.
In fact, that's all I've worn for about the past week straight.
So today I'm going to show you some of my favorite dress combos for summer.

1- For this outfit, I started with this green printed dress. It's so preppy and classy looking; I love it! I then kept it chic & simple with these nude ballet flats and vintage looking bobby pins. (Dress: dorothyperkins.com  . Flats: Forever 21. Pins: Target.)

2- I think a white dress is a must have for summer, so I started with a Lacy one and paired it with mint sandals for a pop of color. To finish it off, I added these amazing multicolored earrings that tie in with the shoes. (Dress: nelly.com . Sandals: Austique.co.uk . Earrings: ringsandtings.com .)

3- Denim dresses are back in style this year, so I started with a distressed  one and paired it with fun, polka dot Keds. To finish off the look and make it a little more polished, I added this brown leather briefcase style bag. (Dress: pullandbear.com . Shoes: Keds. Bag: Aldo.)

I hope you all enjoyed this post and maybe got some outfit ideas for summer. Let me know how your summer's going so far in the comments below. Have a great day, lovelies! xx

Some Very Sad News...

Hello everyone.
I am now back from the second trip that I told you guys about.
But today I am talking about to you about something more than beauty or fashion.
I'm talking about loss.
This morning I woke up to the news that one of my favorite actors, Cory Monteith had passed away. At first, I didn't believe it, but then I finally had to come to the realization that this news was true. Now I know I didn't know Cory personally, so you might be wondering Why does it matter? But today on Twitter, thousands of people have been writing about the loss of Cory Monteith.
I know this is extremely sad, but what drew my attention was that everyone, glee fan or not, was praying for Monteith's family and friends. I really appreciated the polite way everyone handled this. For glee fans, like myself, this is a sad day & for those of you, whether a gleek or not, thank you for writing to everyone saying you're praying for Cory.
Alongside that, now is the time we need to comfort the ones who knew and loved Cory personally. A person on a many people's minds today is Monteith's girlfriend Lea Michele. I can't even imagine how distraught she is over this devastating news and imagine how great it would be if she logged on to Twitter and found thousands of tweets giving her our condolences? So, if any of you could do that, it would be amazing. Whether you're a fan of Cory or not, it would help because Lea is another person in this world who lost the closest person in her life.
I think this event should inspire everyone to do something. Tell the people you love how much you love them because you never know how much time you have left with them. Life is unpredictable and you never know what may happen.

Trend Alert: Flower Crowns!

Flower Crowns.
These have been popping up everywhere lately.
They're cute, hipster & bohemian.
Although, people may not take it as extreme as Lana Del Rey, this still has been an extremely popular trend lately.

The Inspiration?
Flower Power Graland Headband, $5.80
For this trend, I don't recommend spending to much money on it, as I don't think it will last too long. This one from Forever 21 is perfect because it's cute, girly and won't break the bank.

Personally, I like this trend. I've always loved flowers so I think flower crowns are a nice idea. However I don't think this trend will last too long, so let's enjoy it while we can. Let me know what YOU think of this trend in the comments below. Have an amazing week, lovelies! xx
